Jaap Sleper over Sleper Schilder- en Houtwerken

Sleper Schilder- en Houtwerken

Sleper Schilder- en Houtwerken is a traditional small business in Utrecht. In 2008, during a meeting with the owner Jaap Sleper, it became clear that he wanted to make his business operations more sustainable. His reasons for doing so were both to make a contribution to a better climate and to reduce unnecessary costs.

We achieved this together by, where possible, making more efficient use of materials, the existing vehicle fleet and the office environment. This resulted in a lower consumption of materials, fuel and electricity. That which is used is, as far as is possible, sustainable: FSC wood, paint which complies with the strictest environmental requirements and green electricity. In addition, attention has been paid to separating waste flows and recycling wood. Compensation is made for the CO2 emissions which are unavoidable in good business operations by means of the Gold Standard hallmark.
